Beyond the Team you see on this page, there are hundreds of people serving with us as Table Mentors, Assistants to the Leadership Team and our A-Team (Active Alumni who are currently serving in various capacities); add to that church and community hosts, prayer warriors, financial donors, and our spouses and families.
Thanks goes to each one — without the contribution of these key people, this ministry could not exist and impact lives and families as it does.
Albert Abril
Instructor
Albert is an instructor for Stand with Me. He is married to Carissa, who also serves in Grow with Me. They have been married since 2005 and have two children. Albert is passionate about discipleship, especially when it comes to raising up men into Christlikeness. He is an avid reader and lifetime student who loves to cook, garden, fish, and listen to all kinds of music. He is a pastor/teacher of Grace and Truth Christ Fellowship in Phoenix, Arizona and a Captain with the Phoenix Fire Department where he has served since 2001. Albert graduated from Grand Canyon University with a B.A. in Christian Studies.
John Hickey
Prayer Lead
John serves as the Stand with Me Prayer Lead. He has been married over 30 years to Rachel who serves as a Mentor with Grow with Me. They have 3 grown children and 3 grandchildren. John also serves as the Director of Southwest Identity Matters World View Training Center and has a passion for discipling others in walking in victory through Christ as being Life. He teaches on occasion at Grace and Truth Christ Fellowship in Phoenix. John graduated from Yavapai College with a degree in Business Administration and is a commissioned Chaplain. He loves God’s Word and enjoys golfing and shooting pool.
Chris Gustafson
Administrative Lead
Chris is serving as the Administrative Lead for Stand with Me Ministries. Chris has been married to his wife, Joan, for over 15 years. In addition to fostering numerous children, Chris has 5 of his own and 5 grandchildren. Chris is a Battalion Chief with the Glendale Fire Department and has a B.A. in psychology from Ottawa University. When he has down time, Chris is a voracious reader, gardener, and fisherman. Chris’ passion is to see men live their lives as God wants them to: as loving fathers, husbands, and influential family members.
